Ms. Salazar joined Cuddy & McCarthy in May of 2017. Ms. Salazar’s practice focuses on litigation, school law, employment law, land use and zoning.

Prior to joining Cuddy, Ms. Salazar worked as an Assistant Santa Fe County Attorney where she advised the Santa Fe County Planning Commission; litigated code enforcement and administrative appeals for the Land Use Department; and assisted County Officials and Departments in numerous matters.  She began her career as a Public Defender in Albuquerque, litigating both misdemeanor and felony cases.

Ms. Salazar is a Board Director for the Public Law Section, a member of the New Mexico Black Lawyers Association, and a member of the New Mexico Hispanic Bar Association. She is admitted to practice law before the state courts of New Mexico, the United States District Court for the District of New Mexico, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit.

In 2015, Ms. Salazar completed a training on Writing Persuasive Briefs with the National Institute for Trial Advocacy in Chicago, Illinois, and in 2016, Ms. Salazar completed the Articulate Advocate training with the National Institute for Trial Advocacy in Boulder, Co.

Ms. Salazar is a native New Mexican from Santa Fe. Prior to attending law school, Ms. Salazar was a photographer.
