Francheska M. Bardacke is an Associate Attorney at Cuddy & McCarthy, LLP.  Prior to joining the firm, she worked as an Assistant District Attorney for the Second Judicial District Attorney’s Office, where she prosecuted felony and misdemeanor crimes in Bernalillo County and the City of Albuquerque for more than 5 years.  Ms. Bardacke is accomplished in litigation from her extensive courtroom experience as an ADA, having tried more than 50 trials including 30 felony and misdemeanor jury trials, and representing the State of New Mexico in hundreds of preliminary hearings.  In 2017, Ms. Bardacke was awarded the Good Samaritan award by the Albuquerque Mayor for her role in creating an organization called “Love Your Neighbor” which partnered law enforcement with attorneys to aide and assist members of the community impacted by crime.  In 2018, she was a Co-faculty member for the course “Taking and Defending Depositions” at the law school utilizing the basic learning and teaching model developed by the National Institute for Trial Advocacy.

Ms. Bardacke received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Colorado College in Colorado Springs, Colorado.  She spent her junior year at Worcester College, Oxford University in the United Kingdom.  At Oxford, Ms. Bardacke studied International Relations, Jurisprudence, Shakespeare, and participated in theater for which she gained membership into the Oxford Union Drama Society and was awarded most outstanding student abroad.  Ms. Bardacke played collegiate varsity tennis, acted in plays, and graduated with honors.  In May 2010, Ms. Bardacke obtained her Juris Doctorate degree from the University of New Mexico School of Law in Albuquerque, New Mexico.  While in law school, Ms. Bardacke competed on the National Mock Trial team and won a prestigious scholarship to attend the Gerry Spence Trial College in Dubois, Wyoming.  She was the teaching assistant for the Evidence and Trial Practice class her third year and liaised between students, judges, and attorneys in the community.  Ms. Bardacke also gained invaluable experience in civil practice and with civil jury trials clerking for a prominent trial attorney in Albuquerque while in law school and after graduating.

Upon admission to the New Mexico Bar, Ms. Bardacke worked as Assistant General Counsel for a private company in Santa Fe, New Mexico with extensive business interests nationwide.  As in-house corporate counsel, Ms. Bardacke obtained significant exposure to corporate structure and to a varied commercial, transactional, and business law practice.  She advised and represented various subsidiaries on a wide range of matters and disputes.  She litigated complex business matters including wrongful death claims, shareholder disputes, employment issues, real estate, and participated in risk assessment and policy implementation for a number of the company’s businesses and ventures.

Ms. Bardacke brings her versatile practice experience to a wide variety of Cuddy & McCarthy’s client needs.  In her free time she loves to fly fish and continues to play competitive tennis.  She is also an active member of the Screen Actors Guild.
