Biography
Jacquelyn Archuleta-Staehlin is Of Counsel in the law firm of Cuddy & McCarthy, LLP. Her practice concentrates primarily in the areas of disability law, including special education, civil litigation including employment defense. Ms. Archuleta-Staehlin’s disability law work requires mediation for each of the approximately 35-40 claims per year. She has done presentations in the area of general education and employment law in addition to special education.
Ms. Archuleta-Staehlin is a native New Mexican. She obtained a B.A. with a major in speech pathology at New Mexico State University. She obtained a J.D. from the University of New Mexico. Ms. Archuleta Staehlin has also been named to the 10th Edition of Who’s Who in American Law. Ms. Archuleta Staehlin has an AV rating.
Upon admission to practice law in New Mexico in 1991, she worked as an associate with the law firm of White, Koch, Kelly &; McCarthy before joining The Cuddy &; McCarthy Firm.
Ms. Archuleta-Staehlin previously served as a Commissioner for the State Bar of New Mexico and as Past-President for the New Mexico Women’s Bar. Ms. Archuleta-Staehlin is also a member of National School Boards Association Counsel of School Attorneys, Coalition of Administrators in Special Education, Hispanic Bar Association, and Inns of Court. Ms. Archuleta Staehlin has served as a judge pro tem for the City of Santa Fe.
Ms. Archuleta-Staehlin is admitted to practice before all courts of the state of New Mexico, the United States District Court for the district of New Mexico and the United States Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals.
